Seven things to do before I die:
Seven things I can (or will) not do:
Seven things that attract me to my spouse: (Only 7?)
Seven things I say most often:
Seven books (or series) I love: (Seriously? Only 7?)
(Is it obvious to you that I like funny?)
Seven movies I watch over and over again (or would if I had time):
(I really like funny. Really. And I can read the same books over and over and watch the same movies over and over and never be bothered, so I guess these lists don't mean too much to me.)
I'm tagging K. because he said he wanted to do it and I'm curious.
[K. says, "That would take me three days to do. But it would be right."]
Posted by grrlTravels at December 15, 2005 4:54 PMAmy, you really are a very clever writer. I am sure it's a sign of enormous intelligence, but I know you would never admit to it. Enjoyed your "top 7" lists.
Posted by: Toni at December 15, 2005 6:41 PMOh, I LOVED Expecting Adam. I haven't run into anyone else who ever read it until now.
Posted by: mrs figby at December 15, 2005 8:45 PMI loved it too. I've read it at least 4 or 5 times. I like it because it is true, funny, unbelievable, believable, magical and very touching. I cry every time I read it. I actually read it when I was pregnant with E., told I was AMA (advanced maternal age), having genetic testing, and worried about Down's. It made me not worry about it so much.
Posted by: Amy/grrlTravels at December 15, 2005 9:06 PMI love Cold Comfort Farm. That is my kind of funny.
Posted by: Tracie at December 15, 2005 9:14 PMyeah, we definitely need to hang out together and watch movies and talk books. scary-similar tastes there. (Charade and Pillow Talk almost made the cut for my movie list, too. Charade was one of the first movie I owned on tape.) Damnit, why don't you live closer to me?
Posted by: jen at December 16, 2005 9:59 AMEmma is my absolutely favorite book of all time, so of course I love the movies - I have the A&E version and the one with G. Paltrow too. (I like the A&E version better.) And I just adore Philadelphia Story - because it has my favorite actors Cary Grant and the amazing Jimmy Stewart.
Posted by: Julie at December 18, 2005 10:37 AMI agree with almost all of your books & movies. Especially Dorothy Sayers & Katherine Hepburn. And I just read Expecting Adam this summer and started recommending it immediately.
Posted by: jess at December 19, 2005 12:27 PMFunny you mention the somewhat obscure Expecting Adam.... because of course I've read it too. I loved it. I read it when I was going through my nightmare with infertility, and found a lot of comfort in her story that had nothing to do with infertility.
